Research interests: mating tactics, breeding strategies and sexual selection in polygynous mammals; behavioural and molecular ecology of seals and sea lions; population dynamics and conservation biology of marine mammals
Field experience with pinnipeds: 16 years of field work on southern elephant seals (1993 and 1994 in the Valdes Peninsula - Argentina; 1995-2008 in the Falklands), 8 years of field work on northern elephant seals (2001-2008 in the Baja California - Mexico), 3 years of field work on southern sea lion (from 1991-1994 in the Valdes Peninsula)
